Here are some examples of the individuals we have supported and made an impact on their lives. Each individual is unique, and we understand that their needs will all be different. We hope these case studies highlight the type of work we do to support young people in third party charities and individuals directly.

Harc Partnership - Phillip

Who They Are

Phillip is a young man working in HARC charity shop. Prior to working with HARC, Phillip had faced certain challenges entering the world of work or further education without any qualifications. During his 6 months’ work experience in-store, it was clear to colleagues, that he excelled in numeracy and IT.

What they needed

Philips aim was to gain a Level 2 Customer Service Qualification.

How we helped

Without the support from the Foundation, HARC would not have been able to employ Philip for the number of hours required to gain a full apprenticeship, meaning he wouldn’t have the opportunity to gain a qualification. We agreed to pay his wages and associated costs whilst he completes the qualification that requires 24 hours a week work in store.
By supporting HARC through funding Philips salary, it enables him to gain valuable on the job experience, whilst also supporting the charity he works for. Philip will learn key skills that will kick start his career. This combined with a qualification will allow him to either; enter further education or kick start his working career.

Michael

Who They Are

Michael is a student who is about to finally embark on further studies. A degree in 'Global Business and Pilot Studies'

What they needed

For many years, Michael has borrowed laptops from friends and travelled to local libraries to gain access to a computer. He needed a good quality laptop that can cope with his forthcoming degree studies. Having his own computer will allow him to work from home without having to travel.

How we helped

We provided Michael with a computer and all the relevant software licenses to give him the best chance of success in his upcoming studies.
