Update on our partnership with HARC

Last week, we visited HARC a charity in Hastings who we partnered with to support two individuals. Currently the Jim Jackson Foundation is covering the full salary costs for Philip and Michael while they study towards their Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship. Alongside their qualifications they get hands on experience working within the charity increasing their employability and future prospects of entering the world of business.

Phil is doing well and should get his results in early January when he has his Apprenticeship End Point Assessment. Wendy who is mentoring Phil at HARC believes he should pass and is extremely pleased with his progression. Phil struggles with his confidence and has come on leaps and bounds, he even took a trip to Japan with his wages. All Pretty impressive considering he hadn’t been much further than the Hastings boarder previously. The foundation is extremely proud of Phils progression and wish him the best of luck with his assessment in January.

Michael is also doing extremely well, and is thriving in their current role. Michael is 8 months into their apprenticeship and is ahead of schedule in all areas. They have made a huge difference to HARCs IT Systems and have been a massive asset to the business. Michael won’t complete their course until approximately April but is feeling confident. Once they have successfully completed their Level 2 Apprenticeship, Michael is keen to push on and enroll on the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
