Jim Jackson Foundation is proud to be partnering with Bluebells Community Club

We are excited to announce a new partnership that truly embodies our commitment to empowering communities through education. We have been collaborating with the fantastic team at the Bluebells Community Centre to further enhance the digital skills of disadvantaged students.

This initiative builds directly upon the foundational work already being done at the Bluebells Community Centre. Having successfully completed their initial Bluebell IT course, covering the essential basics of computer literacy, from turning on a machine to navigating Microsoft Word, a group of 12 dedicated students have expressed a keen interest in diving deeper. They are now ready and eager to expand their digital horizons!

The Jim Jackson Foundation is stepping in to support this crucial next step in their learning journey. We are proud to be providing a year-long advanced computer course specifically tailored for these students. This isn't just about learning more complex software; it's about equipping them with the comprehensive digital skills necessary to thrive in today's increasingly connected world.

Crucially, to ensure these students have every opportunity to succeed, we are also equipping each participant with a brand-new laptop of their own. This provision is vital, allowing them to practice their new skills between sessions, complete homework assignments, and truly integrate what they've learned into their daily lives. It bridges the gap that often prevents continuous learning and practice outside of a dedicated classroom setting.

This partnership is more than just providing courses and equipment; it's about investing in futures. It ensures these learners have the essential tools and resources they need not only to continue their educational journey but also to unlock a wealth of new opportunities in education, employment, and personal development.

We believe passionately that digital literacy is no longer a luxury but a fundamental right. By working hand-in-hand with the Bluebells Community Centre, we are directly addressing the digital divide and fostering a more inclusive and skilled community.
