Plumpton College Pilot Scheme Update

We believe that a strong community is built on the strength of its people. That's why we were so proud last year to launch a pilot partnership with the fantastic Plumpton College, an institution dedicated to nurturing the talents of local students.

Our strong belief of investing in our community was put into action by providing crucial support to Plumpton College students. This included funding a diverse range of courses, enriching educational trips that broadened horizons, and supplying vital equipment that empowered hands-on learning.

The impact of this investment is best illustrated through the experiences of the students themselves:

Sophia: Financial support covered Sophia's laptop and transportation costs, allowing her to take up work experience. Driven by her love for animals, Sophia wishes to re-establish a new livestock business and open a livery stable!

Fred: Fred received a laptop and smartphone to complete design-focused assignments, aiding his ambition to establish a mobile car diagnostics and repair business.

Rihanna: A donation enabled Rihanna to attend two important extra-curricular college trips to Paris and Scotland. These trips contributed to her ability to complete the business planning assignment for the course!

Mia: We provided Mia with a laptop, enabling her to work from home and on-site. This has directly supported her goal of establishing a horse race and event training business.

Martha: A donation facilitated Martha’s attendance on two key college trips to Paris and Scotland, providing her with practical skills crucial for establishing a smallholding business and completing her assignment.

These stories are a testament to the power of community collaboration and the profound impact targeted support can have on a student's journey.

Due to the success of last years pilot activation, we have extended our support for a second year. We are eager to build our partnership with Plumpton College and further empower this year’s cohort of bright and dedicated students.
