The Jim Jackson Foundation has partnered with the University of Suffolk to provide £18,000 in bursary support for three Business Management students. Suffolk University was the ideal choice, given its geographical location, strong track record in delivering vocational business courses, and long-standing tradition of attracting candidates who meet the Foundation’s criteria for support.

The Jim Jackson Educational and Enabling Foundation supports young people aged 16–24 who face barriers to starting a career in business. From September 2026, three BA (Hons) Business Management students will each receive £2,000 per year for the duration of their three-year course. The bursaries are designed to help students facing financial or personal barriers to higher education take their first steps towards a career in business. Students eligible for the bursaries must meet at least two of the Foundation’s criteria, including having a declared disability, being estranged or care experienced, or living in an area among the most deprived in England.

David James said: “We are tremendously grateful to the Jim Jackson Foundation for its generous donation supporting three of our Business Management students who are facing some of the toughest barriers to fulfilling their potential.These bursaries will enable disadvantaged students who may otherwise have been unable to pursue higher education in business to fulfil their ambitions here in Suffolk.”
